Red Tiger always delivers when it comes to theme and design. This time around is no different, with the team opting for a magic theme. Beriched is set inside a castle lit up by candles, setting the scene for the magic that is about to unfold. The soundtrack has also been selected to complement the slots' theme and really brings out the most in the visuals. In this department, Beriched does an exceptional job. 

Prior to spinning the reels, bets are placed from as low as 10 cents up to 40 euros per spin. The 5x4 set-up features 20 fixed paylines where your bet is spread across. If you max out on your bets, you will stand a chance of winning the maximum payout, equivalent to 2754x your stake. This is a pretty average max win and doesn't exactly justify the slot's high volatility rating. With an RTP of 95.78%, Beriched sits just below the industry average when it comes to player returns. On paper, it doesn't look good for Beriched, but hopefully, they can make up for this in the bonus feature section!

Winning combinations in Beriched are formed by landing matching symbols on the reels across the paylines. Your payout will depend on which combination of symbols land. There are ten regular paying symbols, with half being low value and the other half being premium symbols. The low-value symbols consist of your standard playing card symbols starting from 10 to Ace. Next up are your five premium symbols which consist of a voodoo doll, potion, frog, book of spells and the wizard hat. The two bonus symbols that you should look out for include the wild and scatter symbols. The wild symbol, which is identified as a letter “W”, is the substitute symbol. The scatter symbol is the symbol that will trigger free spins, a feature that will be discussed in more detail below.

There are two main bonus features in Beriched that we will be covering in this section. The first is the Recipe bonus feature, and the second is free spins.  

Let's start with the recipe bonus. This feature consists of random symbols being shown below each of the five reels at the start of each spin. The five symbols present will be referred to as the "recipe". Any symbol that lands on the reels that match the recipe symbol of that particular reel will lock into place. The locked symbols will remain in their place for a free respin and will continue until no new symbols are locked in place using the recipe feature. 

The Recipe feature peaks when you manage to land and lock at least one symbol on all five reels, at which the Recipe is considered complete. Once the Recipe is done, all locked symbols will turn wild symbols for that spin, and you are paid out accordingly. 

The second bonus feature is the free spin bonus round. This is triggered by landing 3 scatter symbols on the reels 1, 3 and 5. Once you have done this, you will be awarded ten free spins. Any locked symbols will turn into sticky wilds once the free spin round commences.

Beriched is a decent online slot that has a lot going for it. Visually speaking, it looks stunning, where we can see a lot of thought has gone into the end product. The bonus feature is another highlight of this slot and really saves the gameplay from being utterly dull. The high volatility rating doesn't match up with the relatively low maximum win of 2754x your stake, which will turn many slot players away.
