NSYNC POP

Play'n Go are back with another branded band slot of the kind they do so well! Although many of you who were looking forward to another Def Leppard-type experience might be a little disappointed. The NSYNC Pop slot revolves around one of the most popular (or most annoying, depending on your point of view) boy bands from the 90s, NSYNC.

Also known as N-sync was put together in Florida in the mid '90s by Chris Kirkpatrick. They quickly became popular in both the States and Europe with hits like 'I Want You Back', 'Bye Bye Bye', 'Girlfriend' and 'Pop'.

 This slot takes us to a concert arena packed full of shrieking teeny-boppers and their reluctant parents acting as chaperones. There's a DJ box that also provides the soundtrack for the game by playing NSYNC's hit Pop repeatedly. 

The game is played on a diamond-shaped grid with five reels. The outer two have only two rows, reels 2 and 4 have three rows, and the centre reel has four. There are 144 ways to win snaking across this configuration, but the game has the potential to unlock 2,400 ways to win. And bets start at 0.10 and go all the way up to 100 per spin. Wins are formed by landing three or more matching symbols on a payline.

Low paying symbols are card ranks from Jack to Ace. The highest paying combination, 5 of a kind, of these, will pay between 0.6 x and 1 x times your stake. 

Since it's a branded slot, the band members themselves make up the higher paying symbols, as you'd expect. And again, as you'd expect, Justin Timberlake is the highest paying of these. He'll give you a maximum payout of 10 x your stake for five of a kind. The rest of the band will pay a max between 6 and 8 times the stake for 5. 

The complete lineup of the band acts as the Wild and can stand in for all other symbols except the scatter.

The Scatter is a large letter N and is key to unlocking the Free Spins.

There is also a mystery Pop symbol that comes into play during the base game as well as the Free Spins round.

Pop Feature

This can trigger randomly during any spin in the base game. Purple circles will land on the reels, and at the end of the spin, they will all pop to reveal the same symbol. This can be either a high paying band member or a low paying card rank, but not a Scatter.

Landing a scatter each on the middle three reels triggers the Free Spins, starting with eight spins. During these, a Pop symbol appears in a locked position at the top and bottom of each reel. A Pop symbol on the reels will unlock the corresponding ones, and they'll then reveal a symbol. The position will remain active after this. Activate all these extra positions, and you're now playing on a grid that offers 2,400 ways to win.

There’s also a Wild Pop symbol which will burst to reveal a sticky Wild that stays in place for the rest of the Free Spins.

Encore Spin

If you unlock all 10 of the extra positions on the reels during the Free Spins, you'll get an Encore! This means one extra spin after the Free Spins round is finished. Only the high paying band members will appear, any sticky Wilds remain in place, and you're playing with 2,400 ways to win, so this could be one helluva ride!
