5 Lions Megaways

5 Lions Megaways by Pragmatic Play is the latest in the 5 Lions series. The developers have licensed the Megaways mechanic from Big Time Gaming to bring you a 6 reel grid with up to 200,704 ways to win.

Since this is a Megaways slot, the number of rows isn't fixed. Seven symbols can land on the outer two reels and up to 8 on the middle four. The betting range on this highly volatile slot ranges from 0.20 to 125.00 per spin.

The reels feature appropriately ornate Asian-looking symbols. The lower paying ones are card ranks from 9 to Ace. The first three of these pay 0.2 x, 0.4 x, 0.8 x and 2 x the stake for 3, 4, 5, and 6 in that order. The King and Ace pay o.4 x, o.6 x, 1 x and 2.50 x your stake for 3 to 6 matching symbols.

The higher end of the pay table starts with what looks like a dinosaur/turtle hybrid which pays 0.6 x, 1 x, 2 x, and 5 x the bet for 3, 4, 5 and 6. Next is a fish who awards nearly the same except for a slightly higher payout for five at 2.5 x the bet.

The golden feng shui toad comes next and pays 1 x, 1.50 x, 3 x and 10 x the bet for 3 to 6.

Then there's a sleeping dragon which gives between 1.5 x and ten times the bet for 3 to 6. And the Dragon's head is the most valuable of the regular symbols, worth 2 x, 4 x, 8 x, and 50 x the bet for 3, 4, 5, and 6.

A golden lion’s head acts as the Wild. This can land anywhere to help form winning combinations by standing in for regular symbols. When a Wild is involved in a win, a random multiplier is applied to that win. In the base game, this can be between 2 x and 40 x the win.

A Ying Yang symbol acts as the Scatter. It can land anywhere on the reels, and three or more will trigger the Free Spins. It also gives very nice extra cash prizes for 3, 4, 5, and 6, and there are 3 x, 5 x, 25 x, and 100 x the total bet.

Tumble Feature

This is also known as cascading reels. After every win, the symbols involved burst and disappear from the reels. The remaining symbols on that reel tumble down to fill the empty positions, and new symbols fall on top of them to fill their positions. These tumbling symbols will continue while wins are being formed.

Wild Multiplier

Random multipliers are applied to any wins formed with the help of a Wild. These can be 2 x, 3 x, 5 x, 8 x, 10 x, 15 x, 30 x or 40 x.

Free Spins

Three or more Scatters will trigger the Free Spins. That’s in addition to giving a juicy payout of their own. In 5 Lions Megaways, the Free Spins are played on a separate set of reels, and you are not awarded an amount depending on how many Scatters you land.
