Bison Moon

Set in the heart of North America, the Bison Moon slot features a picturesque background, with a vibrant red moon taking centre stage. A variety of sound effects have also been incorporated, triggering when certain symbols drop into view. Bison Moon comes with 5 reels, 25 paylines, and a minimum stake size of 0.10 per spin. This slot was created by Northern Lights Gaming, a relatively new company that began operations in 2017. They put a heavy emphasis on quality over quantity and aim to impress punters with each release. In the past, Northern Lights Gaming has produced slots such as Guardians of the Pyramids, Ticket to Riches, and 4 Corners of Rome.  There are also other slots with the bison theme such as Bison Battle and Bison Fury - The Stampede.

The regular J, Q, K, and A symbols can all be found in Bison Moon, awarding players with up to 4x their stake size. As for premiums, there is a raccoon, an eagle, a wolf, and a bear, which can award 7.50x, 10.5x, 15x, or 25x the bet, should five form a matching combination. 

Bison Moon features a wild symbol, shown as the bison itself. The wild icon can replace any standard or premium symbol in order to form a combination. There are also two different scatter symbols in this slot, both associated with their own bonus mode. One of these is a blue moon, while the other is shown in red. 

The first bonus mode in Bison Moon is known as 'Link & Win'. It is found in an assortment of slots by various providers, and in this title, it can be triggered if six or more red moon symbols appear during the same spin. Players will be taken to a fresh board, with the previous icons locking in place.  

At the start of the round, players will be awarded with three respins, and only moon symbols can drop into view. Should this happen, the symbol will become sticky for the rest of the bonus, and the number of spins will reset to 3. Each of these moon icons will contain a value based on the bet size, all of which will be totalled up and awarded to the player when all spins have been used.  

Now, there are also four different jackpot amounts, shown at the top of the screen. These jackpots include a mini, minor, major, and mega variation, sitting at 50x, 150x, 750x, and 5,000x the stake size, respectively. The first three can drop in place of a fixed value on a moon, with the mega jackpot only being awarded if every position on the board is filled. 

Should three blue scatter symbols appear on reels 2, 3, and 4, the free spins bonus mode will activate. Players will be awarded with a total of 10 free spins, and for each, a giant symbol will occupy the middle 3 reels. Should this symbol be a scatter, ten more spins are added to the total. It's also possible to trigger the Link & Win bonus with the giant icon, as it represents nine separate symbols. 

Although the theme within Bison Moon has been used in the past, the appearance and audio features in this slot separate it from the rest. Of course, the Link & Win mechanic is another aspect of the game that many players will likely appreciate!
