The game board for Fruit Party 2 is the same as its predecessor, with a 7x7 configuration. Regular slots players will have an inkling of what's in store as this layout typically only means one thing: cluster pays. And you'd be right! Gone are traditional paylines, and in are clusters; to win, you need to land a cluster of five symbols or more that are touching either vertically or horizontally. Betting begins at 0.20, but you can increase your stake incrementally up to 100.00 for the max bet. Volatility is high, so you could be waiting a while to collect the top payout of x5000.

The backdrop in the first Fruit Party was pretty uninspiring, even though the reels were colourful. In this new title, Pragmatic has corrected that, bringing in a cheerful setting with a cottage in the background, nestled snugly in rolling hills and green countryside, with apple trees and wild flowers scattered around. All rather idyllic! 

The reels are bursting with colour, too, containing a mouthwatering array of fruity goodness, plus stars and hearts. The paytable includes plums, grapes, apples and oranges, with strawberries being the most valuable of them all. The more symbols you include in a cluster, the greater the prize. If you manage to land a cluster of 15 strawberries or more, you'll win the top regular payout of x150. 

One of the helpful features which has been retained is the tumble mechanism which can help you to collect more wins from each turn. Every time you land a winning cluster, the symbols involved disappear from the board, and new symbols fall down from above. This can create more winning lines, triggering the cycle again. The tumble will continue to repeat until there are no more visible wins.  

A new addition to this series is a wild, which now appears on the board. This can step in for any of the regular symbols to help you create more clusters. However, wilds also contain multipliers that begin at x2. If a wild is part of a tumble mechanism, this multiplier doubles up to a maximum of x256. 

Golden fruit may not sound very tasty to eat, but they're your passport to bigger wins. If you land three to seven of these golden scatters anywhere on the board, you'll be handed 10-25 free spins plus a payout of up to x100.  

The feature can be retriggered during the bonus round by landing three more scatters. This gives you five extra free spins with no maximum on how many times you can retrigger the bonus. The multipliers during the free spins are boosted, starting at x3 and with an increased maximum of x729. 

Fruit Party 2 from Pragmatic Play is an excellent example of a cluster pays slot. If you like this style of play, it's hard to argue with what's on offer here. The top prize of x5000 is a touch on the modest side. But apart from that minor grumble, this is an excellent addition to the catalogue and a great follow-up title in the series.
