If you've been longing for another instalment of the anthropomorphic animals, you're in luck as ELK Studios have released Nitropolis 3. The third in the series, Nitropolis 3 brings back the dogs, cats and rats in the dystopian world, but don't worry, cash hasn't yet been eliminated from use. Line up the max combination, and you could claim a potential x50,000.

If you’re not already familiar with Nitropolis, there are two previous instalments to get acquainted with. They’re all based on a strange, post-apocalyptic world where society is run by four clans: the Dirty Dawgs, Pug Thugs, Rouge Rats and Gritty Kitties. It’s a mad concept yet bizarrely appealing!

This third instalment is set on a 6x5 grid which offers 4096 ways to win. This means no traditional paylines; players can win just by lining up symbols on adjacent reels from left to right. Betting starts play at 0.20 and can be increased to 50.00.

If a day at the beach sounds pleasant, think again. ELK have added industrial metal reels and barrels of toxic waste just to make sure you don’t get too comfortable in the soft sand.

The stencilled playing card royals start things moving on the paytable, while the high pays include four animal characters, one for each of the gangs.

There is a wild on the reels; this can substitute for any regular symbol to make a winning line. Both wilds and paying symbols can land on the board as either a regular size or Super (2x2), Mega (3x3) and Mega (4x4).

This slot includes the avalanche mechanism, which involves winning symbols being removed and replaced by new symbols. This is an easy way to get multiple wins on a single spin, and can prove to be lucrative - if the reels give you the symbols you need. As an extra advantage, this feature in Nitropolis 3 adds an extra row to the board every time there's an avalanche. A maximum of eight rows can be created this way.

There is a collection of special symbols which offer a range of actions, including respins, both ways to win, symbol upgrades and supersized symbols called Nitro Reels.

Nitro Reels cover two symbols, or in the case of Big Nitro Reels, six symbol positions. These Nitro Reels contain up to 12 versions of a single symbol, and when they're used as a part of a win, they remain on the board and trigger a respin.
