If you've been waiting for the return of the moustachioed Taco Brothers, you're in luck, as ELK Studios are back with another instalment in the series. Taco Brothers Derailed sees the trio return to the village of Santa Maria, where it's possible to win a prize of up to x10,000.

You don't need to have played the previous Taco Brothers slots to enjoy this latest title, but there are two more to explore, should you feel the urge. The original was simply titled Taco Brothers and introduces players to the three men and their arch-enemy, Captain Diaz. There's a generously sized 6x4 board in Taco Brothers Derailed which includes 466 paylines. Betting starts at 0.20 and increases to the max stake of 100.00. The top potential payout is generous, and there's a volatility of medium to high. This means you may have to wait a little longer to see the gold, but there could be larger payouts.

The early Taco Brothers slot had a sunny and upbeat atmosphere, but things look a bit grittier this time around. Gone is the sunshine, and instead, Santa Maria is engulfed with swirling dust and a much grimmer backdrop.

On the reels, the low pays are shakers, skulls, lanterns, whistles and safes, while the premium pays are the three brothers.

Wilds are central to the Taco Brothers action, and there are a few different ones that can appear. Regular wilds simply substitute for any of the low or high pays, to help players make more wins. Walking Wilds may land randomly and move one reel to the left with each subsequent spin before they fall off the board and disappear. Respins are granted for each step the Walking Wild takes. There's also a Walking Wild Multiplier which can appear on the top reel only.

If three bonus symbols land, the Taco Train Heist Bonus round is unlocked where each of the Taco brothers is added in turn to the board, bringing Walking Wilds and respins. The bonus game finishes when each of the brothers has either walked off the board or is locked.

If four bonus symbols land, the Taco Smash n' Grab bonus is triggered. All three brothers start as Walking Wilds, with a stacked Walking Wild on reel 6. The symbols will move together with respins given for each step. If the señorita appears, one of the Walking Wild brothers will be moved back to reel 6. The bonus will continue until all the brothers have left the reels. Unlike the Taco Train Heist, the brothers cannot be locked by Captain Diaz.
