Vikings Go Berzerk Reloaded

Of all the software providers who have taken a crack at the Norse theme, none has come close to the success of Yggdrasil with their Viking Go Series. In each addition to this series, Yggdrasil has set out to improve on the last and each with one has successfully done so. In This rendition we go back to arguably their most successful instalment, Vikings Go Berzerk, this time looking to improve where the predecessor fell short.

Vikings Go Berzerk Reloaded features a slightly different design to its predecessor. This time around our familiar characters find themselves in the icy winter of Norway with the recognisable stone dragons on either side of the reels. The slot is played on a 5x4 set up with 25 fixed paylines, with symbols including familiar Viking characters. 

The biggest difference this time around is with regards to the slots stats. Yggdrasil has chosen to increase the volatility, which now sits in the medium to high range. The RTP has also seen an increase to 96% with a win rate of just under 1 in 4 sins. Bets are placed from between 25 cents up to a maximum of 20 dollars per spin with a maximum win on a single spin being 24,000 times your stake.

There are a total of 8 standard paying symbols which you should keep a lookout for, with 4 of these being low paying and 4 being high paying symbols. Winning combinations are made by landing 3- 5 matching symbols on a payline. Landing 5 high paying symbols on a payline will result in payouts of between 6 and 10 times your stake. 

Apart from these standard paying symbols there are a few bonus symbols which we should mention. 

Scatter symbols are bonus symbols responsible for triggering free spins. Landing 3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols will award players 7, 8 or 9 free spins (respectively) together with the corresponding Berzerk Viking. 

The Wild symbols will land at any time during spins and will substitute for any symbol on the reels to create high paying winning combinations. What's new here is that when wilds land they are accompanied by win multipliers of between 2x-8x your stake.The treasure chest symbol, which only lands during free spins, can only land on the last reel. When the Treasure chest symbol lands players will be awarded prizes consisting of free spins, sticky wilds, multipliers and Berserk Vikings.

There are four main bonus features that feature in Vikings Go Berzerk Reloaded which include free spins, treasure chest bonus, Ragnarok spins and the gamble feature. In this section we will be taking a look at these bonuses and tell you more about how they can increase your chances of winning. 

First up we have the free spin mode, which is activated by landing scatter symbols. Your free spins, and multiplier attached, will depend on how many scatter symbols land on the reels. During the free spin bonus round whenever a Viking symbol lands, they will go into battle with the Siren. Should your Viking win the battle they will transform into sticky wilds and remain in place for the duration of the bonus round. 

During Free spins the treasure chest symbol will come into play. When it lands on the last reel players will be awarded random prizes. 

Ragnarok Free spins trigger at random, and will turn all the Vikings on the reels Berzerk, making them turn automatically into wilds, or sticky wilds, depending on if you are in free spin mode. 

Whenever free spins are triggered, players will have the chance to use the gamble feature. This consists of players choosing between two bags which will reveal the outcome of starting free spins from between 1-4 Berzerk Vikings. Guess wrong? You will lose all your free spins!

Vikings Go Berzerk Reloaded has really turned things up a notch when compared to the original Vikings Go Berzerk. In this edition players should be prepared for some losses before they eventually strike a big win, and should manage their expectations accordingly.
