Book of Charms by Stakelogic takes us to a magical laboratory where we can try our hand at mixing potions and casting spells!

Stakelogic have gone the extra mile with the graphics on this one and the gold-framed reels set against a backdrop of a candle-lit sorcerer's study. Complete with books of spells open on lecterns and vials of potions bubbling away, it will make you feel that you're right in the middle of Hogwarts.

With a 5 reel, 3 row grid, this game has ten fixed paylines. But, you have the option of playing up to four sets of reels at the same time. Of course, every extra set of reels you choose to play will increase your stake accordingly.

There are a total of nine symbols you need to get acquainted with in the Book of Charms. The lower paying symbols are the usual card ranks from 10 to Ace, although they have magic charms like crystal balls and wizard hats added as details to make them more in keeping with the theme. Ten to Jack pay out 5 x, 25 x and 100 x the bet for 3,4 and 5, respectively. The King and Ace pay 5 x, 40 x and 150 x for the same.

At the higher end of the paytable are a candle, a raven, a cat and a wizard. All these will give a payout of 5 x your stake for 2, except for the wizard who pays 10 x. The candle and the raven pay 30 x for 3, 100 x for 4 and 750 for 5. 

The cat pays 40 x, 400 x, and 2000 x for 3, 4 or 5 in that order. And the wizard is the highest paying symbol at 100 x, 1000 x and 5000 x the bet for combinations of 3, 4 and 5.

The Book Of Charms itself has a pretty magical role to play in the game as it acts as both Wild and Scatter. It will stand-in for regular symbols to help form a winning combo, and landing three will trigger the Free Spins round. These also give a payout in their own right for a combo of three or more.

Sticky Wilds and Respins

Every Wild that lands during the base game sticks while the other reels respin to give you a chance at more winning combinations. But please note, to activate this respins feature, you have to be playing more than one screen.

Free Spins

Land three or more of the Book of CHarms symbol anywhere on the reels, and you're looking at a juicy payout as well as 10 Free Spins. During these, a random symbol on the grid will expand to cover one whole reel. This symbol will expand any time it lands during the Free Spins feature. The Book of Charms is still active as both Wild and Scatter during this round as well. It will substitute for all symbols except the chosen expanding one, and three or more will get you an extra ten free spins.

Gamble Feature
