Ever since it licensed the Megaways Mechanic from BGT, Relax Gaming has been busy applying it to their most popular titles, and The Great Pigsby is the latest to get the megaways treatment.
Just like the original game, The Great Pigsby Megaways is set in the garden of the hero’s luxurious mansion for the base game. To get inside and see all the trappings of Pigsby’s fabulous wealth, players have to trigger the Free Spins round. The grid itself has the usual Megaways 6 reel configuration with between 2 and 7 symbols landing on each reel per spin, giving a max of 117,649 possible ways to win.
The paytable consists of ten regular pay symbols; golden Art Deco fonted 10-A card royals, worth 0.4x the bet for six of a kind, and the premiums are cigars and whiskies, gramophones, tiaras, Mrs Pigsby, and the Great Pigsby himself, worth between 0.5-3 times the stake when landing six. The game is playable on any device, and the betting range is from 0.10 to 50.00 per spin.
The Wild symbol is a golden coin embossed with a pig. This can only land on reels two to six. to stand in for regular symbols. The good news is that when it hits, it expands to cover the entire reel. And since this is a Megaways game, there’s a little counter at the top which will tell you how many positions the Wild is actually covering. And as well as standing in for regular symbols, the Wild also deposits coins in the Piggy Bank, which can randomly trigger one of the base game bonuses or the Free Spins.
And even though the Free Spins trigger from the coin collect feature, there is still a Scatter. This is a golden envelope, and it is active in the Free Spins round.
As the Wild fills the Piggy Bank with coins, there’s a chance that one of the following bonus features could trigger:
The Great Pigsby Re-spin
This awards one respin, with between 3 and 9 of the premium Pigsby symbols landing in random positions across the grid.
The Wild Respin
This does the same, but instead of Pigsby symbols, between two and five reels will turn Wild.
The Free Spins trigger with a starting total of 10 Free Spins, but every Scatter landing during the round will add two more spins to that total. The Scatter also boosts the win potential of the round by removing low-paying card ranks. Every time it hits, one low pay, starting with the ten and working up, is replaced with a premium for the remainder of the round.
